Tyranno-Tots Program
Get ready to dig, discover, and explore!
Hands-On STEAM Learning And Prehistoric Adventures For Ages 2-5
Our NEW Tyranno-Tots program is here! Each week, young explorers will use dinosaurs and paleontology as a starting point to discover exciting science concepts through stories, movement, sensory activities, simple experiments, crafts, and hands-on exploration.
Every week introduces a new science question or theme, encouraging children to observe, ask questions, make predictions, and discover how the world around them works. From dinosaurs and fossils to animals, weather, nature, and the Earth, Tyranno-Tots helps build a lifelong love of learning through play and curiosity.
This is a year-round program! Registration opens toward the end of each previous season in alignment with seasonal Park hours.

Do parents need to attend the session with their children?
- Yes! Tyrannotots (Ages 2-5) are designed for a parent or guardian to participate alongside the children. Parent / guardian participation required.
My child is just a few months shy of the required age. Can they still join?
To ensure the best and safest experience for all children, we ask that children meet the minimum age requirement by the first day of the session they are attending. Our curriculum and safety protocols are custom-built for the developmental stages of this specific age group. If you have questions or concerns regarding this, email lauren@dinosaurpark.org.
Where do I check in?
Check-In will take place at the east gate near the Bone Cabin Outpost (east end of the main parking lot).
How should my child dress or prepare for the outdoor environment?
Tyranno-Tots sessions run rain or shine! We strongly recommend that children wear appropriate clothing for the current weather and changing seasonal temperatures.
What if my child wakes up the morning of a session sick?
- If your child presents with any of the following, please contact lauren@dinosaurpark.org as soon as possible and keep your child home:
- fever
- vomiting / diarrhea
- persistent cough
- rash
- lice
- other contagious illness (i.e. measles, chicken pox, flu, strep, etc.)
Children must be symptom-free of any illness within at least 24 hours of the scheduled session.
What is your refund policy?
No-shows and cancellations will not be refunded. However, if your cancellation is due to unforeseen circumstances (such as weather events, transportation issues, or medical emergencies), please contact us as soon as possible. We are happy to review your situation on a case-by-case basis, though refunds are not guaranteed.
What if my child has a life-threatening allergy or a medical emergency?
You agree to disclose any life-threatening allergies (such as to bees or food) to our staff prior to the start of participation in the program. In the event of an injury or medical emergency, our staff is authorized to seek or administer first aid and to call 911 if necessary. Please note that parents or guardians are solely responsible for any costs associated with medical treatment or transportation.
Are there specific behavioral rules my child needs to follow?
Yes! To protect our guests and our one-of-a-kind exhibits, guests must agree to stay on designated paths and trails at all times. Additionally, our specimens are valuable and often irreplaceable; children must look but not touch unless an exhibit is clearly marked as hands-on. Children must agree to follow all instructions given by Park Staff. The Park reserves the right to remove any participant who violates safety rules, damages property, or rough plays without a refund.
Will photos or videos be taken of my child during Tyranno-Tots?
Yes, by registering, you give Ogden’s George S. Eccles Dinosaur Park permission to use and display images or likenesses of participants for promotional materials, including our web pages and social media. If you have concerns about this, please contact lauren@dinosaurpark.org.
My child has special needs or a behavior plan at school. Can they attend?
Absolutely! We strive to make our experiences accessible to all explorers. Please contact education@dinosaurpark.org as soon as possible before an upcoming session so we can discuss any necessary accommodations or behavior plans to ensure your child has a successful visit.
